UNESCO International Jazz Day | muri no muri (HU)
Featuring:
Ádám Czitrom – guitar
Péter Ajtai – double bass
Ágoston Szabó Sipos – drums
Muri in Japanese means unreasonable, impossible. The trio was brought together by a sudden-born idea and a random concert, and have been inseparable ever since. Their music is energetic and improvisational, free punk based on repetitive grooves and unusual themes born of immeasurable attention to each other. The members of the ensemble are regular participants in the creative whirlpool of the Hungarian underground and free jazz scene: Ágoston Szabó Sipos from Freakin' Disco, Ádám Czitrom from his joint duo with Áron Porteleki, the Mordai band and Jazzékiel, as well as from theater and dance productions, while Péter Ajtai often performs on the Opus stage as the leader of the Mingus! Mingus! Mingus!, Qiyan, or as a member of the Nigun and Baló István Project.
