This evening will mainly feature Sámuel Baló's own compositions, inspired by impressions, moods, experiences and memories. The compositions often draw from the world of modal jazz and folk music, leaving a lot of space and freedom for improvisation and musical communication between the members, so that each time they sound a little different, with a different colouring and a renewed freshness. The presence of two bass players allows for a freer, less accompaniment-like bass playing and opens the way for exciting bass duos. With Peter Ajtai's contribution, not only will the polyphony be richer, but a rhythmically denser fabric can be created – just as the music demands.
