Beatriz Nunes Trio (PT)

Featuring:
Beatriz Nunes - vocals
Paula Sousa - piano
André Rosinha - double bass

The trio meets vocalist Beatriz Nunes who started her career as Madredeus lead singer in 2012 and was distinguished in 2018 by Europe Jazz Media Chart with her debut album, along with jazz pianist Paula Sousa trained in Berklee College of Music and highligted in 2020 by Time Out magazine as one of the most relevant jazz pinianists in the Portuguese scene, together with double bassist André Rosinha, who has been part of Salvador Sobral's projects since 2015, and also played with Mário Laginha and Perico Sameat. À Espera do Futuro was composed during the pandemic lockdown, observing the emergence of several social and political phenomena that inspired the nine original songs with and without words. The result is an exquisite combination of Jazz and the Portuguese musical tradition.
