Modern Art Orchestra
The Modern Art Orchestra's À la MAO... series aims to present compositions and adaptations, sometimes originals, by members of the orchestra in a new context.
Join saxophonist Zoh Amba, bassist Nick Dunston, and drummer Chris Corsano for an immersive workshop on free improvisation.
In search of new musical challenges, drummer Jim Black gathers some of the most exciting musicians of the young Berlin jazz scene around him: Asger Nissen on alto saxophone, Julius Gawlik on tenor saxophone and bassist Felix Henkelhausen. Together they are Jim & The Schrimps – a rhythmically explosive jazz quartet that captivates its audience with energetic improvisations and irrepressible joy of playing.
