The members of the band have already proven themselves in many renowned productions, but here they can unleash their creativity without compromise. All their songs are accompanied by live session videos, shot in a location that matches the mood of the song, with cinematography by Sándor Bikali.

On the evening of 22 August, the band will expand into a quartet with Gábor Subicz, leader of the highly successful Subtones band, who will take the trio's music to the next level with his trumpet. The band admits that from the very first moments of working together, they felt as if Gábor had always been the fourth member of the band – an alchemy they are finally showing the audience. The concert will feature tracks from the trio's album Dystopia Radio, released at the end of 2023, as well as material from their forthcoming new album.

Featuring:

    Mátyás Borbély - bass guitar
    Ábel Mihalik - drums
    Zoltán Bubenyák - keys
    Gábor Subicz - trumpet, flugelhorn

Our offer

Improvisation, composition, language and cultures merge and influence each other in the world of Under the Surface.

Selected silent films from the collection of the Seydoux-Pathé Foundation

The series A Genius Is Born is a tribute to the male choir works by the three greatest Hungarian masters of music, so it is no coincidence that the concerts are taking place on the composers' birthdays. A special feature of the concert programme is that StEFREM's personal selection of works by the classical composers is complemented by outstanding and interesting pieces by their "heirs", the Hungarian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
