This is also applies to the Nagy Emma Quintet, founded in 2018. The band is made up of five members from different musical backgrounds, yet their ensemble has evolved into a symbiosis over the years with an equal emphasis on powerful drum grooves, free improvisations, song-like contemporary compositions, and other solutions. However, this diversity is never self-serving. It constantly serves the purpose of getting the band into as many layers of stage chamber music as possible. An important part of this journey is the quality of their repertoire, which consists entirely of their own compositions, and all five member take their part of the composer's work. NEQ won the professional grand prize of the 2019 Müpa Jazz Showcase, among others, in the final of the Getxo-Jazz in the summer of 2021, and in October they won the main prize of the Jazz Juniors in Krakow. They recorded their third album in January 2022 after their two major albums, Set to Face and Low Frequency Oscillator.

As in Anton Webern's work, the short piece, short movement, or musical miniature in György Kurtág's oeuvre is not the result of any form of reduction. It is well known that, for neither composer, brevity refers to the duration of musical processes, but rather to the density of musical communication. The large-scale cycles composed of these dense communications – from The Sayings of Péter Bornemisza to Kafka Fragments and beyond – are particularly characteristic of Kurtág's output.
Műsor: Kurtág, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven és Janáček művei
