Ragnarök Trio is a NO/NL based project led by Icelandic guitarist Thorkell Ragnar. Formed in Rotterdam in 2022, the trio plays original music with a free improvisational approach and strives to create an abstract and energetic world of sound. The music, written by Thorkell, can be described as raw and sincere and is strongly influenced by punk, rock and various 20th century compositional concepts; serialism, symmetry and free atonality. The group recorded their debut album in December 2023 to be released in the autumn of 2024.

Our offer

The grand concert on the second day of the Second Hungarian Horn Festival will at the same time serve as the closing event of the entire festival.

This Blue Note album was compiled from the 1947–49 recordings of Theodore "Fats" Navarro following his death at the age of 26 due to illness and addiction. He played alongside the giants of the bebop generation, including Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, and Tadd Dameron.

The concert on the first evening of the Second Hungarian Horn Festival commemorates Ferenc Tarjáni (1938–2017), a prominent figure in the Hungarian music scene as a teacher at the Academy of Music, principal horn player of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and founding member of the Hungarian Wind Quintet, the Budapest Chamber Ensemble, and the Tarjáni Horn Quartet.
