Sharp5, a band of young Hungarian musicians, was originally formed for a one-off event, but during rehearsals it became clear that the members could work together with incredible harmony and fluidity, so they decided to embark on a longer journey together. Their repertoire includes their own pieces, contemporary compositions and jazz history gems that they create and choose in line with the expression of their emotions. Their sound is inspired by a wide range of jazz masters from home and abroad, including Attila László, Krisztián Oláh, Joshua Redman, Chick Corea and Pat Metheny.

De Beren Gieren is a post-contemporary jazz trio in which minimalism and bursting energy go hand in hand. It may be no coincidence that this band is based in Belgium, the home ground of surrealism and techno.

Mihály Borbély, who is equally at home in the fields of folk and world music, jazz and contemporary music, and who is extremely popular both in Hungary and abroad, is one of the leading figures of Hungarian jazz as a performer and composer.
