The Zádor – Kováts duo was formed in 2016. In their music, the two instruments engage in a dialogue based on the themes of their own compositions, in which the alternation of consonant and dissonant harmonies creates tension. Their works are typically born out of improvisation, with both composed ideas and spontaneous instrumental reflections, almost reminiscent of free music. Their exchange of ideas is based on their album Thoughts from the Outskirts, released in autumn 2018, but this concert will also feature some potential hits from their forthcoming second album. Korhan Futacı, born in 1977, is a versatile artist based in Istanbul. Renowned for his proficiency as a saxophonist, composer, producer, singer, and songwriter, he has become a prominent figure in Turkey's alternative music scene.
Vivaldi wrote concertos, cantatas and sacred vocal music also composed. A selection of these works is presented by György Lakatos, the Concerto Armonico Budapest, and guest soloists in their concert series arriving to its 11th episode. György Lakatos gives a short introduction about the music in Hungarian.
The Moroccan Saïd Tichiti was the first to introduce gnawa music to the Hungarian audience and made it popular through his world music group Chalaban. In Morocco, Gnawa was a part of the slave culture and that of their decendents and is closely related to healing rituals.
