Sounds of Diversity presents music that connects contemporary artists from several countries across national borders. Following two concerts in Ostrava and Katowice in the spring, the project will continue in Žilina and Budapest this fall.
The Modern Art Orchestra began operating twenty years ago and has since become one of Hungary's most innovative and diverse musical workshops. To mark this anniversary, the ensemble is celebrating with a three-part premiere series at the Budapest Music Center concert hall. All three evenings of the series, entitled MAO–XX, will feature new compositions and unique musical worlds, where contemporary jazz, classical tradition and poetry all play a role.
This six-concert series for solo cello is based around Johann Sebastian Bach's suites. Alongside the well-known cello suites, Tamás Zétényi will also perform the French suites, originally for keyboard, which he and composer Marcell Dargay arranged for cello together.

One of the most powerful works of the contemporary ensemble repertoire will be presented for the first time in Hungary by UMZE. With our concert, we will continue our program that we started last year, in which we give young Hungarian composers the opportunity to perform their new works for the first time.
A Young Man With a Horn cím nemcsak az azonos című filmre utal, hanem arra is, hogy Miles Davist már ekkor a jazz egyik legnagyobb ígéretének tartották.
